Book Launch Event
New Delhi, Nov 17: The book, Thoughts Gallery, authored by Dr. Sunil Gupta, a renowned Chartered Accountant, was released at the Constitution Club, New Delhi. On this occasion, Shri Indresh Kumar, Member, Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini Mandal, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) presided, and Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture, Tourism and Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Government of India was the Guest of Honour.
The event witnessed a gathering of more than 300 eminent personalities including professionals, secretaries of various ministries, writers, politicians and RSS leaders. Mr. Prabhat Kumar of Prabhat Prakashan, Delhi, the publisher of this book, commenced the event with his brief speech about the author and condolence on the demise of Shri Ashok Singhal of VHP; a two-minute silence was observed.
The writer, Dr. Sunil Gupta, was then called upon to concisely provide an insight into his book. He talked about his sources of inspiration, including his parents, family, friends and readers of his blogs. He dedicated the book to his parents and discussed how positive response in reply to writing to government departments and ministries with proposals and views on diverse matters encouraged him to pen more and more blogs, which further took the shape of the book, Thoughts Gallery, a compilation of 125 articles covering social, economic and political aspects .
Shri Indresh Kumar praised writer’s hard work saying that despite being a professional, Dr. Sunil Gupta was able to spare time to write articles on social, political and other crucial domains. Kumar also talked about how people in the audience can walk through the gallery of their thoughts and bring prosperity to the nation by reviving Indian rural industry and buying products of Indian craftsmen.
Dr. Mahesh Sharma then gave a momentary insight to the audience about the book and referred to one of the articles of the book which covers recent happening of return of awards by writers and filmmakers. Dr. Mahesh Sharma also praised Dr. Gupta’s capability of summing up topics in two to three pages. This, he said, will serve as a ready reckoner to readers, without spending too much time in reading any particular subject.
The event ended with a note of thanks to the audience and special invitees.
